Boise Teeth Whitening

Everyone wants a brighter smile when it comes to taking important photos. When it comes to whitening, there are over-the-counter whitening strips that are good to use when you need a little whitening boost but when you have significant discoloration or discoloration on the sides of the teeth, strips like these will not be sufficient.

For your best smile restoration, it’s important to consult with your Boise dentist about your preferred whitening method as they are best qualified to answer any treatment questions or expectations that you may have. Keep in mind that normally, a Boise teeth cleaning is sufficient at removing many external stains while promoting good oral health but you’ll need to cut back on staining foods like coffee, soda, berries, and sauces.

Your best smile restoration before the big day

As with whitening there are also several options for improving the appearance of chipped, broken, cracked or spaced teeth:

  • Veneers are a popular choice that are thin, custom-made shells that cover the front side of a tooth, and can be used to treat spaces between teeth and teeth that are chipped, damaged, or slightly crooked.
  • Crowns may be needed if porcelain veneers won’t do the trick. A crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth. Crowns can restore a tooth’s shape, size and strength and/or improve its appearance. Crowns cover the visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.

Last but not least…

Exfoliate your lips and have your teeth polished the day before the dance. As there will be lots of smiling for your sweetheart photos make sure you lips as well as your teeth are in tiptop shape. The night before the big even, apply some petroleum jelly to the lips and gently rug with an old toothbrush or damp cloth. This will leave you with soft, smooth lips that will be ready for any shade of lipstick color.  In addition, visit your Boise dentist a few days or weeks before the event to have them polished for your best “bling bling” smile! Have fun!
